Considered going back to brunette, but think I'll stick with blonde for a while...
They often say that blondes have more fun, and now a new study says that they rake in the most amount of dough, too.
Conducted by the U.K.'s Superdrug chain, the study found that ladies with lighter locks earn about $870 more per year than their brunette or redhead counterparts, reports UK's The Daily Mail.
The study analyzed the earnings of 3,000 working British women, and found that the average blonde takes home about $35,650 a year, compared to $34,780 for brunettes, and $34,380 for redheads.
Even though the blondes earned a higher salary, the most common complaint among the women was that they don't feel they're taken seriously at work. Yet, many of the surveyed blondes confessed that they didn't mind the ditzier stereotype, and in some cases, even play it up to their advantage.
"Traditionally, the stereotype of a blonde is that she is maybe a little ditzy and a bimbo, but this shows they are the higher earners," says Simon Comins, director of toiletries at Superdrug.
"Over a lifetime, earning $600 pounds [approx $924] more a year can really add up, so blonde women really are having the last laugh," adds Comins.
In terms of self-worth, brunettes grabbed the prize in that category -- with eight out of ten women saying that they felt respected and valued in the workplace. Raven-haired womenare also more likely to stay at one job and work up the title and monetary ladder, as they rated compensation as more important to them than either blondes or redheads.
Meanwhile, redheads were shown to have the greatest working drive of all the categories, with most hours logged, both at work and at home in the evenings.
Most socially engaging of the three categories are the blondes, who told researchers they value friendly client relationships the most at work, and also think it's important to make friends with coworkers.
Blondes also crave more acknowledgement from peers for a job well done, as compared to brunettes and redheads who say they don't seek out the same level of flattery from others.
Ironically, it's the blondes who have the highest percentage of college degrees and master diplomas -- which may also serve as a factor in their higher pay scale.
"This research goes to show that you can't judge a book by its cover, and you shouldn't make assumptions about people just because of the way they look," said Comins.
So what does a study like this mean for a drugstore chain like Superdrug? Higher hair color sales, of course.
But while blondes came out the glossy winners in this study, Comins actually predicts it'll be dark hair that will soon return as the best-selling shade of choice.
"Next year, we are predicting the rise of the Brunette Bombshell as customers aim to emulate the classic refined style of Kate Middleton."
We think the Queen Mother would approve.

TransMedia Group Client, PMX Gold, Launches America's First 'GOLD to go™ ATM' Gold Bullion Vending Machine at Swanky Boca Raton Mall Today
BOCA RATON, Fla.., Dec. 17, 2010 -- PMX Gold, LLC ("PMX Gold"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of PMX Communities, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Boards: PMXO) (the "Company" or "PMXO"), confirmed today their commencement of retail Gold Bullion sales operations with the launch of America's first "GOLD to go™ ATM" Gold Bullion Vending Machine at the prestigious Town Center Mall located in Boca Raton, FL.
The "GOLD to go™ ATM" Gold Bullion Vending Machine, which was previously launched most notably at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi Hotel in Dubai this past summer by the German corporate owner of such technology, will dispense newly minted .999 Pure Credit Suisse Gold Bullion Bars and U.S. minted American Eagle Gold Coins to American customers in the first U.S. test marketing of the machines to be conducted by PMX Gold. The "GOLD to go™ ATM"(www.gold-to-go.com) gold bullion products vending machines presently operate in over 12 locations worldwide including Germany, Spain, Italy and Dubai.
"Since the GOLD to go™ ATM" Gold Bullion Vending Machine first came onto PMXO's radar screen, we have invested numerous hours of research and work to develop the initial infrastructure and integrate certain aspects of this concept into our business plan," said Michael Hiler, the Company's President and CEO.
"We have entered into an agreement with Ex Oriente Lux AG ("EOL"), the owner of the technology, to conduct test marketing on an exclusive basis in the State of Florida during an initial three month period, and, on a non-exclusive basis, to assist such company in seeking additional test markets and licensing and franchising opportunities within the United States. We have been afforded certain limited exclusivity and non-circumvention rights relating to a limited number of contacts that we may introduce to EOL, subject to certain limitations and restrictions. Our development plans include both Company owned operations and prospective licensees, developers and partners for to-be-determined select markets. Additionally, the Company is currently evaluating several prospective gold mining projects for early 2011."
Real Gold at Fair Real Time Prices
Gold is the oldest currency and has served as a reliable store of value for thousands of years. Gold Bullion products are becoming more and more sought after as a hedge against uncertainty, and Gold continues to hit all-time highs. However, the marketing of physical Gold Bullion in the United States has traditionally lacked fair pricing, quality control and acceptance by the general public due to non-standardized distribution methods.
This high-tech, German innovation offers the general public a safe, simple and convenient method to acquire gold bars and coins of certified quality based on fair, real-time prices. The machines are permanently online and adjust product prices every 90 seconds according to the current market price of gold.
By eliminating the need for potentially costly "brick and mortar" retail space, salespersons and staff, and by utilizing our operational support platform for infrastructure requirements, we believe that a very unique and compelling Gold Bullion sales opportunity presents itself to potential U.S. partners in such business.
Interested parties and potential investment/joint venture development partners are invited to email info@pmxgold.com or call and ask to speak to our Business Development Team. We will consider a wide range of opportunities, and we do not have fixed criteria for project consideration.
Money Back Guarantee
All products purchased from our "GOLD to go™ ATM" Gold Bullion Vending Machine can be unconditionally returned with receipt by the original purchaser to us within ten days of the date of purchase. The money-back-guarantee is valid as long as the seal on the coin pocket is not broken; the customer will then be refunded the purchase price +/- the percentage change of the gold price (London Fixing) between the date of purchase and the date on which the product arrives.
About PMXO and PMX Gold

10 Ways to Preserve Baby's First Christmas
I will be celebrating "Baby's First Christmas" with a niece AND a nephew this year! Baby Alexander and Baby Bella will both be meeting Santa for the very first time next week...so I've been doing a lot of thinking about what I can do to help make this Christmas extra special. I came across this great article on Parents.com -- check it out!
Baby's first Christmas is certainly an event to be treasured. Here are some creative ways to record your first holiday together.
1. Make or buy a personalized ornament. Hang an ornament painted with your baby's name and birthdate. Every year you can take out this ornament and remember your baby's first Christmas.
2. Create your first annual photo ornament. Place your baby's picture in a tiny frame and hang from your Christmas tree. Do the same thing next year and hang the two ornaments next to each other. As the years go by, you'll have pictures of your baby from each Christmas.
3. Make a Christmas stocking from your baby's sock. Hang an adorable miniature Christmas stocking next to yours. Decorate it with your baby's name and the year of his first Christmas.
4. Save your baby's first Christmas outfit. Dress her in adorable green and red Christmas clothes. These can get stored away and revisited whenever you feel like reminiscing. When you come across it again next year, you'll realize just how much your child has grown.
5. Give your child a Christmas-themed stuffed animal. There are miniature Santas, reindeers, angels, and elves. As your child grows, you'll always have it around reminding you of your baby's first Christmas. It might even become your child's best friend for a while.
6. Make or buy a personalized Christmas blanket. You can store this with your child's first Christmas clothes and or hang it on the wall in your baby's room -- assuming you can persuade her to let go of it.
7. Give your baby a Christmas music box. These are treasures that can last a lifetime. He'll want to fall asleep every night to the peaceful Christmas music.
8. Take plenty of pictures. Get pictures of your child's face when he first sees the Christmas lights or when he gets his first present. Make sure to also get pictures of your newly formed family.
9. Write a letter to your child. Even though it'll be a while before your child can read it, this letter can mean a lot to you for years to come. In your letter, tell your child how happy you are to be celebrating your first Christmas with her. Thank her for her first Christmas present to you--being born.
10. Start a Christmas scrapbook. Decorate the cover with your child's name and birthdate. Fill it with some of your Christmas pictures and any Christmas cards to your baby. You can also write a short description of your baby's first Christmas -- what you gave him, what he ate, or what he found scary -- and add it to your scrapbook.
PUMP UP THE VOLUME
Whether you have smooth, straight locks or bouncy ringlets and curls, we all want body and volume...check out these tips from our favorite texture experts at GKhair!
Tease a little
With a teasing comb or a fine tooth comb you can create some volume at the root. Take small sections and back comb from a third of the way down the hair shaft to the root. The key to teasing is to do a little at a time and gently comb out to smooth and soften.
Hairspray
Using a light hold spray at the root will create some volume as the hair will not lay flat and smooth. Remember to spray the hair in sections and not directly where it will be seen, for example spray underneath the top layer.
Dry Shampoo or Powder Spray
Using a dry shampoo or powder spray not only soaks up oil but creates some body and volume at the root. Remember to apply little by little, you can always add more but you can not get it out without washing.

Holiday Tipping Etiquette
The holiday season is a great time to show your appreciation to the people who serve you throughout the year. Listed below are guidelines for tipping your service professionals. Of course, the amount will vary depending on the level of service you receive and the depth of your relationship with each person.
Holiday Tip #1: Hairstylist – Cash equivalent to the average cost of one appointment.
Holiday Tip #2: Garbage Collector - $20 and up depending on how much extra trash they take away for you. Consider the amount of lawn and yard clippings you typically leave in addition to regular trash, or if you just moved in and left a large amount of packaging and boxes.
Holiday Tip #3: Mail Carrier – Non-cash gifts up to $20 value. The U.S. Postal Service does not allow employees to receive cash. Food items and a thoughtful note make a nice gift.
Holiday Tip #4: Housekeeper/Cleaning Person - one week's pay for every year she/he has been with you up to 5 years.
Holiday Tip #5: Teacher – A small gift and a thoughtful note from you and your child. Some schools do not allow gift giving, check the rules.
Holiday Tip #6: Nanny – one week's salary for every year she/he has been with you up to 5 years.
Holiday Tip #7: Babysitter – Cash equivalent to an average week's pay. If she/he typically sits less frequently, one or two night's pay is appropriate. A gift card to a favorite store she/he shops at often is a little more personal and still greatly appreciated like cash.
Holiday Tip #8: Gardner/Lawn Care - $50 and up. If more than one person works on your yard, divide the cost of one day of service between each person.
Holiday Tip #9: Shipping Carriers – $15 and up depending on the amount and size of regular drop-off and pick- Gift giving policies vary for package delivery companies, so be sure to check the rules. UPS does not have a gift policy, whereas FedEx allows non-cash gifts up to $75 value.
Holiday Tip #10: Guard House Attendant – Depends on what they do for you. A cash gift of $50 and up or a gift card to the grocery store both make nice presents.
Holiday Tip #11: School Bus Driver - $20 and up.
Holiday Tip #12: Fitness Trainer- Cash equivalent to a week's worth of fees. If you pay $45 per session and you have train two times a week, then $90 is a nice gift. This is for someone you have worked with for at least a year. Less is suitable for someone newer.
Holiday Tip #13: Manicurist – Cash equivalent to an average week's worth of services. If you see her/him once a week and they charge $30, then $30 is nice.
Holiday Tip #14: Doorman - $50 and up depending on the amount of extra service they provide for you.
Remember, presentation is important. Cash and gift cards should be placed inside a greeting card or an envelope with a sincere note of thanks. Spend a moment to really thank the person for what they do for you all year long.

Make your home sparkle for the holidays!
Great tips to get your home sparkling for the holidays from HGTV!
1. Stay with one theme and style for your holiday decorating. It makes shopping for decor easier and makes your space feel professionally finished.
2. Let your nose know it’s the holiday season. Place potpourri and scented candles near your entry and throughout your house. Or, better yet, bake some cookies shortly before guests arrive.
3. Choose two to three colors for your holiday palette and keep it consistent. Multiple color palettes can be too distracting. Try silver, blue and white or red, gold and brown.
4. Create an inexpensive family tradition that involves the kids. Purchase a ready-made wreath of greens then gather items to decorate it. Use pine cones, ribbons, crystals, feathers, beaded garland or homemade paper snowflakes.
5. Give your space a different look and feel for this special time of year. Rearrange your furniture so the focal point is the fireplace or wherever you hang stockings. If you don’t have a fireplace, arrange the furniture to create the best layout for cozy conversations.
6. Colored lights can be costly if you change your color palette from year to year. Stick with white lights; they can be used with any color scheme.
7. Start investing in a collection - something that can continue to grow through the years and can be passed on to the next generation. Check out online auction sites for vintage decorations.
8. Use lots of candles. Nothing makes a room feel warmer and more inviting than candlelight.
9. Bring the holiday celebration into every room. Kitchens and bathrooms are a great place to put scented candles and smaller seasonal knickknacks.
10. The holiday season is definitely one time where “less is more” does NOT apply. Have fun and do it up big.

GKhair LAUNCHES FIRST AMMONIA-FREE, OIL BASED HAIR COLOR SYSTEM CONTAINING REVOLUTIONARY INGREDIENT JUVEXIN
Worldwide leader in professional hair taming develops new keratin-based color system, unlike anything available on the market today
Fort Lauderdale, FL - GKhair (www.gkhair.com), the worldwide leader in professional hair taming, introduces the first ammonia-free, oil based hair color system containing Juvexin™; a proprietary formulation of proteins that enhances the texture and condition of all hair types. Unlike anything available on the market today, the new keratin-fortified, 40+ shade system treats permanent to demi-permanent hair color to achieve long lasting color and shine.
Developed to compliment GKhair’s much-acclaimed signature Hair Taming System and aftercare line with Juvexin™, the new hair color system utilizes the same revolutionary benefits of Juvexin™ to create beautiful shades of healthy, shiny hair. The Juvexin™ protein chains closely mirror the hair’s own keratin structure, allowing it to bond with the hair and wrap around the cuticle to repair and protect, penetrating to the core to nourish every strand of hair.
The first-of-its-kind GKhair color system is revolutionary to the professional hair care industry because of its unique combination of the following key components:
· Juvexin™: proprietary formula derived from sheep’s wool to enhance texture and condition of hair
· Ammonia-free: allows hair structure to improve and moisturize whiles coloring
· Oil-based: naturally derived formula delivers long lasting color that resists fading, adds shine, and protects during processing
· Permanent to demi-permanent: because of the ammonia-free formula, the same line can achieve permanent to demi-permanent results by selection of the appropriate developer
Founder and CEO of GKhair, Van Tibolli, states, “We are thrilled that GKhair’s new color line is ready for its debut! The vibrant colors are naturally derived to last, resist fading, and impart incredible shine. As our stylists and clients worldwide know, the GKhair brand represents today’s confident, active, multi-faceted woman on the go who chooses to express herself through her personal style. GKhair continues to develop advanced hair care products, based on science and guaranteed to deliver beautiful, healthy and manageable hair.”
The new hair color line will be available at select salons currently carrying the GKhair Taming Systems and aftercare products with an initial launch of 40+ shades first debuting in Europe January 2011.
